Scarlett Johansson will be joining the five-timers club when she hosts Saturday Night Live tonight, and she wants you to know she’s taking the honor seriously. Of course, the cast doesn’t necessarily take it as seriously as she does, but hey, there’s no reason to rain on her parade right?

The first clip from the show goes through Johansson’s training montage if you will, and it makes sense, as the host has been a fan favorite throughout the years. She’s produced memorable skits like Prom Dress, Black Widow Rom-Com, and Chandeliers (with Fred Armisen), and her newest episode will hopefully add a few more to the catalog. Johansson will be hosting with musical guest Lorde, who guested in two promos for the show with cast member Beck Bennet. If you’re going to be in an opening promo, though, perhaps you should use the word “drop” less, and maybe not have a sweaty back. Just a recommendation, so no offense meant.
Hit the next slide to see Scarlett Johansson in action. SNL airs tonight on NBC.
Scarlett has a few projects in development, including her dark comedy Rough Night and her adaptation of Ghost in the Shell (which currently holds a 3.44 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings). She’ll also be reprising her role as Black Widow in Avengers: Infinity War, a film that will include a bevy of fan favorites from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
You can view the description for Johansson’s Ghost in the Shell below.
Based on Masamune Shirow’s acclaimed manga, Ghost in the Shell is a story that marries hi-tech action and philosophical musings. The series follows Major Motoko Kusanagi, a special ops leader at the anti-terrorist organization Section 9. The heroine is also a one-of-a-kind cybernetic human with a full body prosthesis. Tasked with catching bad guys, the Major works with her colleagues to catch criminals and extremists who wish to deconstruct society’s cybernetic advancements.
Ghost in the Shell is directed by Rupert Sanders, from a screenplay written by Jonathan Herman and Jamie Moss. It stars Scarlett Johansson as The Major, Pilou Asbรฆk as Batou, Takeshi Kitano as Chief Daisuke Aramaki, Chin Han as Togusa, Michael Pitt as Kuze, and Juliette Binoche as Dr. Ouelet.
Ghost in the Shell opens in theaters on March 31, 2017.
