Channing and Jenna Dewan-Tatum are helping to bring some rhythm to YouTube Red.

The Step Up franchise has continued to release films at a steady clip ever since it debuted back in 2006, and now the dance-heavy series is getting a new ongoing Television series, which will be exclusively available on YouTube's subscription streaming service.

The show will be helmed by Lionsgate, who have enlisted both Channing and Jenna as Executive Producers, alongside the original Executive Producers Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot, and Meredith Milton. The couple both starred in the original Step Up as Tyler Gage (Channing) and Nora Clark (Jenna), with Channing reprising his role in a cameo for Step Up 2: The Streets.

The property has been sought after by YouTube for some time, courtesy of Susanne Daniels, head of YouTube Originals. "We know dance is a hugely successfully global audience on YouTube," said Daniels, who believes YouTube Red is a perfect place for the series (via Variety.com)

Lionsgate Television Group Chairman Kevin Beggs also praised the partnership.

"After five exciting and successful movies, we're proud to partner with YouTube Red, a major new force on the programming landscape, to adapt the films into an adrenaline-filled original drama series driven by its non-stop energy, spectacular dancing and A-list creative talent.

The series is set to debut sometime in 2017.
