The CW Network today announced early renewals to seven of its primetime series for the 2017-2018 season. Among them was fan favorite genre fiction series Supernatural, which will return for its thirteenth season.
The announcement was made during the network's presentation at the Television Critics Association Press Tour by network president Mark Pedowitz.
"Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas," said Pedowitz. "Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long."
The CW also renewed all four of its DC Comics television series – Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow - musical dramedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and satirical telenovela Jane the Virgin.
