The first Bond girl, Ursula Andress, turns 81 today and help pave the way for countless models and actresses to star alongside Bond. Her appearance in Dr. No in her famous white bikini sizzled screens for years to come and Andress has become a seminal figure in the on-screen Bond legacy.
Andress might have been the first Bond Girl, but she was far from the last. In the over 50-year legacy of the character, the films have featured a variety of models and actresses to act as Bond’s equal, if only for a single picture.
