One of the breakout television hits of the season would be the NBC series This Is Us, starring Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, and Mandy Moore. For many younger audiences, this is their first glimpse at the talents of Mandy Moore, but if you were a teen in the '90s, you'll always remember her being as sweet as "Candy." PEOPLE put together a visual trip down memory lane of the star's career.

In 1999, the 15-year-old released her debut pop album, So Real, and has been in the public eye ever since. She dominated the charts alongside pop songstresses like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, but she managed to do it at an even younger age.

In 2001, Moore began flexing her acting muscles with her first role in The Princess Diaries, which also marked one of the first roles of Oscar-winning Anne Hathaway. Following that success, Moore got her first starring role in a film in 2002's A Walk to Remember, where she plays a high school student with leukemia who falls in love with a popular student, despite her declining health.

The actress then took more challenging roles that were outside her squeaky clean public image, snagging a role the black comedy Saved, set in a Catholic school. The actress is back on top, with This Is Us not only gaining incredible ratings in its first season, but also earning Moore a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress - Television Series Drama. Far from being a one-hit wonder, the star looks like she's going to continue gaining success with the show, which is well-earned after her 16 years in the industry.
