"Dante's Inferno isn't fiction, it's a prophecy."

That's the ominous line at the center of the latest trailer for Inferno, the new thriller starring Tom Hanks once again as Professor Langdon, the character he's played twice before in Dan Brown novel adaptations. After decoding the Da Vinci Code and wrestling with Angels and Demons, now he's out to stop a plague that will send the whole world to a proverbial Hell.

An international version of the trailer for Inferno was also released, with a slightly shorter (and tighter) cut that slaps that line (strangely without Inferno in the line) right out at the beginning instead.

Directed by Ron Howard, Inferno sees Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star Felicity Jones joining Tom Hanks on his latest thrilling adventure.

Academy Award® winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown's (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a madman from unleashing a global virus that would wipe out half of the world's population.

Inferno hits theaters October 28, 2016.
