The James Bond franchise is in a bit of flux at the moment, as the previous star Daniel Craig has been unsure of whether he will return to the iconic role.
That led many to seek out other worthy candidates, one of those being the talented Tom Hiddleston, who has always brought a certain amount of flair and charm to just about any part he's had.
In past comments about the possibility, Hiddleston said: I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and they mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I'm very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly."
In a different interview about the possibility of being Bond, he said: "I mean, as somebody who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention that there is a part of me that goes really? are you kidding? But I feel like who's going to be the next James Bond is, it's one of the nation's favorite pub conversations. It's up there with who is going to win X-Factor and when is the England National side going to live up to its full potential, and is Britain going to leave the E.U. and all that thing."
During a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia, the actor, unfortunately, shared some disappointing news, courtesy of our onsite reporter Brandon Davis.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you everybody. I don't think that announcement is coming. But I'm very gratified to hear the enthusiasm. There's not much that I can say that I haven't already said, but I know... your guess is as good as mine to be honest."
Hiddleston isn't the only name associated with a new Bond either, as actors like Idris Elba, Emilia Clarke, and Jamie Bell have been rumored as well.
