Despite The Fate of the Furious setting box office records around the world, the feud between stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson refuses to die, with Diesel claiming he’d take down Johnson if fisticuffs actually erupted.

Back in August, in the throes of filming the latest installment in the incredibly successful action franchise, The Rock took to his Instagram account to refer to one of his co-stars as a “candy ass,” shattering perceptions that the entire cast was as close as the characters they played on screen.
Theories began to emerge with who The Rock might have been referring to, with the conclusion being that it was Diesel that has caused the social media post.
Earlier this week at the premiere of Diesel-starring Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the star confronted UFC fighter Tyron Woodley about comments he made in regards to the outcome of an actual brawl between the two Fast and the Furious stars. Woodley’s prediction was that The Rock would reign supreme, which Diesel was sure to call into question.
When speaking with TMZ, Diesel apparently “pulled up” on Woodley, in a nonviolent way, and cited his experience as a bouncer as the reason he could take down the former WWE champion.
Between The Rock’s massive size advantage over Diesel and his hugely successful career in the ring, that outcome seems doubtful, but Diesel remained adamant about the outcome.

Even though both parties claim there’s no longer any bad blood between them, the two have appeared to keep their distance from one another during promotional events for the latest movie.
Diesel recently explained to USA Today, “I think some things may be blown out of proportion.” He added, “I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.”
The star even seems to have pinpointed the cause of the feud, which is related to his involvement in the franchise.
“I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne,” Diesel pointed out. “I protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it โฆ Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that’s me.”
