The 2016 film earned the honor of Best Film-Make Up, with Monica Huppert and Joel Harlow receiving special recognition for their work on the film. You can check out the full list of winners here.

Fans will remember the last time Beyond was nominated for a similar category, during February’s Academy Awards. To the surprise of many, Beyond lost the Best Makeup and Hair Styling to the DCEU film Suicide Squad.

If you haven’t gotten a chance to see Beyond yet, or just want to revisit its impressive prosthetic makeup, the film is currently streaming on Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Star Trek Beyond currently has a 76.94 ComicBook.com Composite Score and a 4.04 ComicBook.com User Rating. Once you’ve streamed the movie on Hulu or Amazon Prime, be sure to come back and give Star Trek Beyond your own personal ComicBook.com User Rating below.

In Star Trek Beyond, a surprise attack in outer space forces the Enterprise to crash-land on a mysterious world. The assault came from Krall (Idris Elba), a lizard-like dictator who derives his energy by sucking the life out of his victims. Krall needs an ancient and valuable artifact that’s aboard the badly damaged starship. Left stranded in a rugged wilderness, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew must now battle a deadly alien race while trying to find a way off their hostile planet.

Star Trek Beyond was directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, inspired by Star Trek: The Original Series, which was created by Gene Roddenberry.

In Star Trek Beyond, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their respective roles as Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock, along with Simon Pegg as Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott, Karl Urban as Lieutenant Commander Leonard McCoy, M.D., Zoe Saldana as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, John Cho as Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu, and Anton Yelchin as Ensign Pavel Chekov. Idris Elba plays the alien warlord Krall, Joe Taslim plays Krall’s second-in-command Manas, Lydia Wilson plays Krall’s scout Kalara, and Sofia Boutella as Jaylah, an alien scavenger.

A sequel to Star Trek Beyond, featuring the return of Chris Pine as Captain Kirk’s father, was announced shortly after the film’s release. Paramount Pictures hasn’t said much about the film since then, though Quinto recently offered an update on the film’s status.
