While they were only a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it blur in the initial trailer, the A-Wing was confirmed to be making a return in the featurette. It was shown in two distinct shots, and based on the trailer the fan-favorite ship will likely feature heavily in the new film’s space battles.

The first shot took place at the :56 second mark of the video, when an explosion takes place in a Resistance hangar containing an X-Wing and two A-Wings.
The second shot occurs at 2:13, showing the flames engulf the A-Wing as a pilot sits in the cockpit.โจโจ
Both of these takes are likely featured in the same scene, but given the footage shown in the trailer the A-Wing will likely dole out as much damage as it takes.
We can’t wait to see the ship featured in Return of the Jedi make a triumphant return in Star Wars: The Last Jedi when it premieres in theaters on December 15.
