We Almost Had a Boba Fett Movie
When Josh Trank left behind his planned Star Wars Story movie, the film itself was shelved, as he was the one developing it. That film? Well, it would've been about Boba Fett, a new report revealed. The rumor gets even tougher to handle, as it was apparently going to include multiple bounty hunters, possibly even some from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Maybe it'll come back with a new director in the future.

Bail Organa Revealed!
Jimmy Smits is back as Bail Organa. While the actor teased his return a few months ago, this is the first time we're actually seeing him in character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The reveal came in US Weekly's special issue on the film, along with a little insight on what he's doing in the movie. We also provided the details on what Bail Organa has been doing since he adopted Leia at the end of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of The Sith for fans who aren't reading all the books or watching the animated series.

Lucasfilm Could Go to Star Wars Story Films Only
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said this week that the company won't make a decision on the future of Star Wars until January. After Rogue One, Episode VIII, Han Solo, and Episode IX, there's nothing officially on their schedule just yet. The big surprise, though, is that basically no options are off the table, including the possibility of ending the Episode films, the Skywalker Saga, and moving strictly to standalone movies going forward.

No, Rogue One Will Not Have an Opening Crawl, and Here's Why
Kathleen Kennedy was busy making headlines, also finally confirming that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will not have the traditional Star Wars opening crawl. The short version? She wants it to stand apart, and to keep the crawl strictly for the Skywalker Saga.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's best trailer yet
Finally, we have the new trailer, which is in the video player just above. Debuting during the Thanksgiving special Wonderful World of Disney on ABC (corporate synergy!) the one-minute trailer (or "extended TV spot" if you prefer) has it all, with some new shots, some great dialogue about hope and inspiration, the Death Star, Darth Vader, and a sense of mounting tension. It was at once uniquely different, a clear "war movie," but also definitely Star Wars. And it has fans excited for the release on December 16, 2016.
