The reveal came this past weekend at HASCON, a convention that celebrated all things Hasbro. The toy manufacturer teamed up with Disney to develop a new line of “Adventure Dolls” to celebrate the female heroes of the saga. While the female figures feature hair more similar to that of a Barbie doll, the characters come equipped with all manner of weapons and gear, preparing them for as much excitement as any male figure you’d find in the toy aisle.

Female heroes are featured front and center in the series of animated shorts, often bringing in the live-action actresses to reprise their roles, including Daisy Ridley and Felicity Jones as Rey and Jyn Erso.

Earlier this year, Star Wars Insider revealed that Finn and Han Solo would be featured in the second round of shorts, with John Boyega reprising his role from The Force Awakens. Additionally, the second season will bring along with it fan-favorite Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels.

“It’s been announced that we’ll see Hera [from Star Wars Rebels], which will be great,” writer Jennifer Muro told The Hollywood Reporter. “I think people will enjoy seeing the characters in the second season.”

“It was thrilling that they wanted to be involved, and Lupita [Nyong’o] as well,” Muro explained of the actors attached to the project. “It was so nice to have them with the TV actors and the voice actors โ€” it brings the worlds together in a way I didn’t expect. It gives it more legitimacy, but beyond it being legitimate, it’s just wonderful for people who weren’t paying attention to go, ‘Oh, that’s surprising that [the movie cast] is doing that,’ and it brings more attention to what we’re trying to accomplish. It was nice to have them in the mix.”

Star Wars: Forces of Destiny will premiere online in October, with subsequent airings coming to Disney XD.
