Josh Gad continues to be a national treasure on the set of The Orient Express, once again ambusing his costar in the film, Daisy Ridley, for secrets about that other movie of hers, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The eighth episode of the Skywalker saga and sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, December’s release promises to be a massive film at the box office. More importantly to legions of Star Wars fans, though, are the secrets that The Last Jedi will potentially reveal, and in that, Josh Gad represents us all.

Once again luring Ridley into a trap by way of a “rehearsal,” this time Gad used fake script rewrites to try to trick her into answering his Star Wars questions.

After a false apology, and Daisy saying “people thought I was super angry! It was a little uncomfortable,” Gad got to the nitty gritty.

“Who are Rey’s Parents?” he asked, by way of his fake script pages from Orient director Ken Brannagh. “Am I a Jedi? Is Finn paralyzed from the waist down?” Ridley read out. “Then it says, ‘you answer honestly.’ So you can just practice right now and serve all of my que – all of Ken’s questions.”

Daisy… didn’t comply. Instead, she walked out of the trailer again while Josh called after her. Back to drawing board, Mr. Gad. You’re doing good work for us Star Wars fans. Maybe third time will be the charm?
