These fans assert that the cast of the film has been arranged on the new poster to form the shape of Darth Vader’s headpiece. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) forms the forehead, Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) make up the eyes. General Leia (Carrie Fisher) is the nose and the top of the triangular frame for Vader’s air input filter. The rest of the cast fills out the sides of the helmet.

Here are a few examples of fans overlaying Darth Vader on top of the poster to prove the point.

It has already been noted that the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi poster seems to be modeled on posters from the original Star Wars trilogy. Is this Darth Vader framing intentional, or is he emerging like a Magic Eye vision in front of fans who have maybe been staring at the poster a little too long? You be the judge.

Despite being dead, Darth Vader’s presence is still keenly felt in the Star Wars sequel series as Kylo Ren tries to live up to his grandfather’s legacy.
