Following the news of the Flash Point movie being added to the Warner Brothers’ plans for upcoming DC Films projects, fans of DC Comics made the connection of a couple of actors from The Walking Dead playing key roles in the movie.

Not only does the Flashpoint comic book story indicate an opportunity for The Walking Dead‘s Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan actor but the animated film Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox took Batman’s other parent and turned her into an iconic DC Comics villain.

In the Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox animated film, Martha Wayne is the Joker.

In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Walking Dead‘s Maggie actress Lauren Cohan debuted as Martha Wayne. Opposite her was Morgan as Thomas Wayne. If the DC Films project elects to tell a story which sees Martha Wayne becoming the Joker, Cohan is first in line to play the part unless Warner Brothers and the unannounced filmmakers elect to recast the role.

The Walking Dead films its season from late April through early October. It is currently in production of its eighth season. The schedule would allow for Cohan, who likely won’t be leaving the popular AMC series any time soon to film from November through April.

A release date for Flashpoint has not yet been revealed but Jeffrey Dean Morgan has previously weighed in on becoming Batman if such an opportunity presented itself…

JDM’s Comments

During a panel at Walker Stalker Con, Jeffrey Dean Morgan fielded questions from fans.

“Zack [Snyder] and I go back toย Watchmenย days,” Morgan said. “So I’ve got a little bit of relationship with the DC losers. He called me a year before we shot that…I met Lauren. It was great. I still see Lauren. It was great and yeah, is there another plan for that Thomas Wayne character? We’ll see. I don’t know. I would love to be the dark Batman. That’s the darkest Batman there is. God knows I embrace the darkness.”

Morgan has already thought about the role and how it would compare to his role onย The Walking Dead.ย “Flashpointย Batman would be like doing a comedy compared to beingย Negan,” Morgan said.
