The Walking Dead: 5 Predictions For Hostiles And Calamities

The Walking Dead‘s latest episode – ‘Hostiles And Calamities‘ – is set to air tonight at 9 pm ET. While we’ve spent the first two episodes of this half-season with Rick and the other survivors in Alexandria, Hilltop, and The Kingdom, this new episode will finally send the attention over to the Sanctuary.

If you recall, Negan discovered Eugene had the ability to produce handmade ammunition in the midseason finale. He then took Eugene back to Sanctuary with him.

In this episode, fans will learn what’s happened to Eugene since leaving Alexandria – as well as what Negan plans to do with him once he gets back home.

Negan will also discover that Daryl has escaped and Fat Joey has been killed, so he’s going to have a field day when he returns.

Eugene Finds Love

Eugene may like watching from time to time, but hasn’t the guy earned a love story of his own by now? 

As Eugene gets to Sanctuary, he likely won’t be treated like a prisoner. Negan knows he needs the guy, and that Eugene is impressionable. He’s probably going to try and manipulate him by treating him well.

If Eugene has a nice home, filled with new faces who know nothing about him, he might have a chance at finding someone he can get to know.

Negan Strikes Again

Last time we saw Negan, he killed Spencer and signed Olivia’s death warrant. He did all that when he wasn’t even that angry.

When Negan returns home to discover Daryl gone and Fat Joey dead, the guy is going to flip out. This can’t be good for everybody involved.

Negan is likely going to kill someone in this episode, it’s just a question of who will get the axe.

Negan Punishes Dwight

While Negan’s victim probably won’t be Dwight, there’s no way the guy gets through Daryl’s escape without getting some kind of punishment.

Daryl was Dwight’s responsibility, and Negan is a stickler for the rules. If Daryl escaped, at least some of that fault lies on Dwight’s shoulders.

This might mean some kind of physical punishment, something embarrassing, or something we haven’t seen Negan do yet.

The most likely option? Negan could lock Dwight up in Daryl’s cell for a bit. Maybe give him an Easy Streetment?

Daryl’s Help Discovered

Someone let Daryl out of his cell, and the hunt for the traitor will surely be on in this episode. To this point, it’s still a mystery who let him go.

Daryl’s savior could’ve been Dwight, it could’ve been Sherry, it could have been any number of people.

Look for their true identity to be revealed this week.

Dwight Switches Sides

If you’ve read the comics, you know that Dwight ends up helping Rick and Ezekiel go to war with Negan. That alliance ends up being one of the biggest turning points in the entire story.

Dwight is already shaking in his allegiance to Negan, and he just needs another little push to go over the edge.

The chaos following Daryl’s escape could provide that push.
