While many people wonder how Jeffrey Dean Morgan can play such an evil character like Negan, they often forget that there are plenty of actors portraying his evil minions – The Saviors.
Davey – the Savior who slapped Rick and hassled Enid over a bunch of balloons – is one of the worst that Negan has to offer. He’s often the first of the Saviors to get angry, and he’s constantly out to hurt Rick and the others. He’s as mean as Negan, but without all of the charm.

What’s it like to get into the head of a guy like that?
Caesar Martinez, the actor who plays Davey on the show, told The Walking Dead Fan Site just how difficult it is to tap into his character each and every day.
“Who lied to you and said I was a nice guy? No, it’s so much fun! It’s like Westworld; you can be whoever you want, and I personally believe everyone has the spirit of Good and Evil in them. We just have to choose who to listen to. It’s so entrenched in our mythos. The devil and the angel both sit on opposite shoulders.”
According to Martinez, being bad is kind of fun. We’d imagine having any kind of role on The Walking Dead is a fun gig, and working with Negan on camera can’t be miserable.
