In the Season 7 finale of The Walking Dead, Negan was ready to kill Abraham and be done with it. Rick’s group could have went on their way and no one else had to die that day. Daryl Dixon had other plans, though. He hopped up and punched Negan in the face which prompted Negan to kill Glenn and take Daryl as a hostage.

Since the demise of Glenn, several characters have spoken fondly of him and shared heartbreak in his loss, but Maggie and Daryl have never addressed that fact that it was really kind of Daryl’s fault.
A new rumor from The Spoiling Dead Fans claims that the two characters will finally share that moment in Episode 7×14 (The Other Side).

According to Moviefone, TSDF hosted a Q&A regarding Sunday’s new episode and one bit has already punched fans in the feels. If true, the description is a heavy spoiler for Sunday’s new episode, so stop here if you’re looking to remain spoiler-free just a couple of days ahead of its airing.
“Yes, they have a pretty emotional talk while they’re hiding in the cellar from the Saviors,” TSDF said. “Daryl starts to cry and says it was his fault. Maggie says it wasn’t and that Glenn thought Daryl was one of the good things in this world. And Glenn would know because he was one of the good things too. Maggie then hugs Daryl.”
Speaking to ComicBook.com around the time of The Walking Dead‘s Season 7 premiere, Daryl Dixon actor Norman Reedus shared his perspective of Daryl’s guilt, which is consistent with the rumored scene. “I think it weighs heavily on him,” Reedus said. “I don’t know that anybody in that group blames him for anything, but he blames himself more than anything. It really brings him down to a certain level where whatever shitty thing is thrown at him, he is just going to take it.”
