You Can Hate Jadis, But Should Love The Walking Dead’s Pollyanna McIntosh

The Walking Dead‘s seventh season introduced a character who would turn out to be a despised villain, but the actress playing her couldn’t be more lovable.

Pollyanna McIntosh will become a series regular on The Walking Dead in its eighth season, meaning fans are going to see a lot more of her short-winded, villainous Jadis character and her Heapster army. While there is plenty of reason to dread Jadis taking the screen as she will be supporting Negan’s army and rallying against the Alexandrian characters we’ve come to love over the years, audiences should find solace in how flat-out awesome McIntosh is.

The actress blended right in with the rest of the cast on the AMC series, wasting no time before becoming a core member of The Walking Dead family. “I was warned that I’d get all sorts of death threats and stuff because I know a lot of actors have had rough treatment for what their characters have done — which is weird you guys!” McIntosh said of Jadis’ Season Seven finale twist. “Luckily for me, I think the difference with Jadis is she wasn’t loyal to the group for that long so it was harder for people to get really mad. Plus, I was also real lucky that nobody died.”

Don’t believe it? Check out McIntosh’s reaction to the The Walking Dead‘s Season Eight trailer above and some of her best and recent Instagram posts below…

McIntosh’s sentiments regarding fans accepting her despite Jadis’ betrayal of Rick Grimes appears to have been entirely accurate.ย

In the photo above, McIntosh poses with fans at Walker Stalker Con in Tulsa. “Forgot my coat,” McIntosh remarks in the photo’s caption, referring to Jadis’ junkyard look as she appears on the TV show.ย

Still, she is getting along quite well with Maggie, Daryl, Sasha, Tyreese, Michonne, and Rick in the photo.ย

Like many The Walking Dead fans, McIntosh’s fandomย overlaps into Game of Thrones territory. Luckily, the two shows never compete with each other on Sunday nights, airing at different times during the year.ย

In the photo above, McIntosh is hanging out with fellow actor David W. Ross. The two suited up asย Samwell Tarly and Arya Stark for a Game of Thrones viewing party. Sam came complete with books he earned from the Maesters while Aryaย comes ready to fight.

In fact, by following McIntosh’s account, you might even catch some Game of Thrones stars. “Old friend and new friend,” McIntosh writes with a photo of Ser Davosย actor Liam Cunningham holding Crystal, the Capuchinย monkey best known for The Hangover.

Furthering McIntosh’s integration to The Walking Dead family are all of the lovable posts with her co-stars.

First, the photo above from June 2017 sees McIntosh with Kingdom character actors Cooper Andrews and Kharyย Payton. The trio of Walking Dead stars decided to get out in the Georgia woods for a little bit or archery.

That’s hardly as far as this squad has gone in their adventures, though.

ย

More recently, McIntosh brought her followers on a journey across Thailand with her co-star, Aaron actor Ross Marquand. “What a s— holiday we’re having,” McIntosh joked. “Clearly.”

She also tagged a note on the end of the caption, “Please don’t ride the elephants, go see them at a well maintained sanctuary.” Standing up for animals, now, too? They don’t make them much better!

McIntosh doesn’t have to travel the world to have fun with her The Walking Dead co-stars. Also upgraded to series regular for Seasonย Eight, Simon actor Steven Ogg is captured awkwardly smiling for a photo in the post above, as it turned out to be a video.ย

That’s only the beginning. Even family dinners are captured and shared by McIntosh’s epic Instagram account, starting with more of Ogg.

He’s not the only one getting love on McIntosh’s account, though. The Kingdom’s actors returned for more, starting with a very zenย Jerry…

…and followed by a King Ezekiel, who appears to be having as much fun as everyone following McIntosh.

The photos are captioned “How to chill” with numbers one to three on each. The Walking Dead family clearly has a good grip on having a good time together, even if their characters fall on opposite sides of the impending All Out War story.ย

Knowing the Roots

Despite joining the show in its seventh season, debuting in the 93rd overall episode, McIntosh knows the roots of The Walking Dead and is excited to encounter them.

Encountering Lori Grimes actress Sarah Wayne Callies at San Diego Comic-Con, McIntosh shared a selfie with her immediately. “Hanging with the original baeย at the Entertainment Weekly party at ComicCon,” McIntosh wrote. “So fine a woman.”

Ironically enough, McIntosh’s Jadis joked about laying with Rick Grimes in the Season Sevenย finale, and the actress is having a good time with that, too.

Oh this did make me laugh @_redrogue70_ ! Thanks #TWD #TheWalkingDead #TWDFamily #Jadis

“Oh this did make me laugh,” McIntosh wrote with a tag to the fan art’s creator. It made us laugh, too.
