The good guys suffered another loss tonight with the death of Shiva, King Ezekiel‘s beloved pet tiger. Ezekiel previously opened up about his deep bond with the former zoo animal, calling her “the last thing left in this world that [he] loved.” Shiva repaid her debt to Ezekiel when she made her last stand protecting the king, Carol and Jerry from a pack of possibly radioactive-contaminated walkers.

Shiva may have been a CGI tiger, but many found her death as emotionally effective as the loss of Lori, Hershel, Beth and even Glenn. It’s only a shame there are no dumpsters in the middle of the woods.
