Troy is waiting in the doorway, startling him. He won't sit down because he'll pass out but he says he is here to "return the favor" of saving him. He warns him of a "reckoning." He says there's a beast from the desert. "It's bigger than you can imagine," Troy said. "Biblical." Nick isn't interested, offering Troy the options to either sneak out or be hidden for a couple of days. Troy claims there is a third way. Nick sees a cloud of dust on the horizon. "F---," he said.

He is proud now, though, of the art he's created with this horde. He takes aim with his launcher and fires. Jake tackles him.

Later, they hear the dead walking into the fences and walls. The gate breaks open. Alicia looks on between the RVs and sees the never ending herd arriving. From a distance, Nick watches with binoculars.
The RVs start to rock as the dead push against them. They start crawling out from beneath the trucks and the Ranchers and Nation try to put them down. In the distance, Jake has passed out. Troy kneels beside him. "He wasn't supposed to die," Troy said. Nick tells him he will need to put him down, now. "I wanted him to see," Troy said. Nick orders him to look at the Ranch to see what he really has done. Troy begs Nick to kill him. Nick kicks him a gun and says, "Kill yourself."
