For a moment, it appeared the drama on Fear the Walking Dead might subside when the conflict between Broke Jaw Ranch and Walker’s Native American clan had been resolved. Looking ahead at the back half of the AMC series’ third season, it appears this was only the beginning.

With Jeremiah Otto now dead at the hands of the Clark family and delivered to Walker, the outsiders are free to move in on the land which they once claimed as their own. The stakes will only continue to rise as tension builds and the truth of Jeremiah’s murder, framed as a suicide, potentially gets out.
At San Diego Comic-Con, the cast of Fear the Walking Dead stopped by to ComicBook.com’s suite to tease as much from the upcoming episodes.
“After the midseason finale, which is like a tour de force, I was wondering, ‘Where does this go?’” Walker actor Michael Greyeyes said. “But then each episode ratcheted up the tension. Sam [Underwood] and I, we have a really interesting relationship with Jake and Walker. We’re kind of allies. We’re trying to figure out how to let these two groups exist. Madison is working her way to the sides, both sides, it’s complex.”
Jeremiah’s death will be a major driving point for the back half. “They better be pissed off!” Jeremiah actor Dayton Callie said of his character’s two sons. “They know I wouldn’t kill myself.”
“Would you ever shoot yourself in the head like that?” Nick actor Frank Dillane added, ironically enough, considering his character is the one who pulled the trigger.
“They’ve done a really cool job of the investigation into it and how both of them respond to the secret. They both know something’s up,” Troy actor Daniel Sharman said. “The unraveling of that and then the consequences of that unraveling are what propelled a lot of the action of the last half.”
