If the title and synopsis for The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 7 weren’t enough to confirm sneaking suspicions that iconic moments from Robert Kirkman’s comics were going to be realized on television, a new photo posted by AMC does.

Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead is titled, “Sing Me A Song.” Issue #155 of The Walking Dead comics saw Carl riding in the back of a Savior truck to the Sanctuary before unloading a machine gun upon arrival. Of course, he was outnumbered and taken hostage by the new villain in town and later forced to remove his eyepatch and unveil his scar before singing a song to Negan.
The new photo posted on The Walking Dead‘s official Instagram account confirms at least the latter part of that series of events will be fulfilled on Sunday night.
Carl will be removing the eyepatch for Negan on Sunday night.
As for whether or not he’ll mow down any Saviors with machine guns, you’ll have to tune in to find out. Keep in mind, the last time we saw the little Grimes boy, he was in the back of a truck loaded with goodies being delivered from the Hilltop to Negan’s Sanctuary.
The synopsis for Sing Me A Song reads, “A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.” The episode will run for 90 minutes.
