Becky Lynch has built up an amazing reputation in a rather short time, especially when you consider that when she originally came to NXT she had not wrestled in around 7 years.

Lynch discussed her time in NXT on the most recent Steve Austin podcast, where she was asked if NXT was more freeing creatively compared to the main roster. The assumption is that superstars generally prefer the tighter plots of NXT as well as the more involved crowds, but Lynch looks at it a bit differently.

"No, here's what I think. I actually always felt more comfortable on RAW and Smackdown than I did in NXT. The bigger crowd, I'm more comfortable in front of. Smaller crowd, less comfortable. I don't know why. As soon as I came out on RAW I always felt like "ah, I'm at home" ya know, and NXT was less comfortable for me. I don't know why, maybe it's a smaller crowd so getting a reaction might be harder. I just feel like it's easier with a bigger crowd."

While NXT isn't on television as much as RAW or Smackdown, the schedule is rather grueling, and as Lynch describes, can lead to some overthinking.

"As far as NXT goes, you're always, because you're training there six days a week or five days a week, you're doing your shows three nights a week, and then we've got tapings once a month, so there's more material, your mind is constantly going and constantly learning new things, so you're constantly thinking. Sometimes with the weekly show you've got to get it done. You've got a story to go to and you have to think right there on the spot. With NXT you've got a longer time to think about it, work on different things and maybe that's why, I don't know."

Lynch has come a long way over the last few years, and she reveals that at one point she was just struggling to get on TV at all.

"When I came to NXT, I couldn't even get a spot as a Rosebud, but as soon as I did that, any single opportunity that I could get then I wanted to make the most out of it, and that is the reason why I've gotten that connection with the fans, the reason that I've gotten to be the first Smackdown Women's Champion, and hopefully will continue to carry me on."

Lynch will be involved in the upcoming Women's Tag Elimination Match as part of Survivor Series, which hits the WWE Network on November 20.
