Star Wars's Ewan McGregor Reportedly In the Running For Doctor Strange

Ewan McGregor, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels, is reportedly one of the names currently being considered for the job of Marvel's Doctor Strange, according to Badass Digest.

The site, which last night claimed that Joe and Anthony Russo were in the running for Avengers 3 and 4 when Captain America 3 is finished shooting, says the actor is prepping for the role, doing research and the like, while the studio is "looking at" th eformer Jedi Master.

After talks fell through with Joaquin Phoenix, a number of candidates' names have come up, including Keanu Reeves and Ethan Hawke. Neither Marvel nor director Scott Derrickson, who has already arrived on the Disney lot to begin preliminary work on the film, have yet commented on the rumors.
