Here's Why 'Boruto' Hasn't Nerfed Naruto Or Sasuke

Since the end of Naruto Gaiden, fans have been speculating over both Sasuke and Naruto looking significantly weaker, however; this speculation should remain nothing but just speculation. This is because fans must remember that the threat of Uchiha Shin, was nowhere near as large as the threat of the Otsutsuki.

For example, Naruto is a pacifist and doesn't want to kill anybody, in addition, Sasuke wanted to interrogate him, which is another reason that they were holding back. Also, fans must take into account that every time Sasuke was wounded, it was whilst guarding his daughter Sarada. Whilst when Sasuke tried to kill one of the Shin clones, Sarada distracted him and that left him open for Uchiha Shin's attack.

Meanwhile, the first time Naruto was injured by Shin's surprise attack, it was because Naruto let his guard down. Also, the attack didn't even hurt him for very long, as his regeneration powers have improved immensely. We must also take into account that Naruto never used his Rasengan and Sasuke never used his Chidori in the battle, which proves that they were not going all out.

When Naruto and Sasuke were fighting an Otsutsuki member, for example, Momoshiki, that is when they showcased their full strength. Therefore, Naruto and Sasuke haven't become weaker, maybe Naruto has lost a little battle sense as Sasuke and Kurama have suggested, however; they are still the strongest ninja's in the world.
