According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Olsen is very close to signing on to play the Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, she became an indie darling in recent years before beginning to take roles in more mainstream fare like Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures's upcoming Godzilla reboot. They also confirm that Bradley Cooper is in talks to voice Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy, but say Olsen is closer to a deal than is Cooper. Both pieces of news are just further confirmation of existing rumors that have been floating around online already. Marvel Studios reportedly used Soarise Ronan in the design process for Scarlet Witch's movie look, but there's no concrete evidence she was ever approached for the role, and claims that she was vary from one report to the next. According to previous reports, Scarlet Witch's costume will be much different in the film than the comics, excising her trademark headpiece and bikini in favor of something a little more in keeping with the look of Marvel's cinematic universe. Scarlet Witch's brother, Quicksilver, will also appear in the film, reportedly played by Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who has gone on record talking about the casting process and suggesting that the casting is very close to a done deal. Johnson plays the lead in Godzilla, meaning that Avengers: Age of Ultron would potentially be the second film in which he and Olsen starred together. Both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are joint property of Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox for the purposes of the movies, and Quicksilver will appear in X-Men: Days of Future Past next year, beating the Avengers sequel to the screen. In that film, he'll be portrayed by Kick-Ass's Evan Peters.
