Nightcrawler #1

Marvel Comics has released a preview of Nightcrawler #1, featuring the return of the X-Men's swashbuckling blue elf to the Marvel Universe. The issue is written by legendary X-Men writer, Chris Claremont, with art from Todd Nuack. "He's smart, tough, creative and daring, with an instinctive understanding of people and situations. He has a wicked sense of humor and a devastating charm," says Claremont, in an interview with Marvel.com. "His 'normal' is revolutionary to most people; throw him a problem, he'll find a way to solve it that's unique to him. He quite simply is the kind of man others trust; to know him is to have faith in him." Nightcrawler is returning from his time in the afterlife to find the world he knew greatly changed. The X-Men are divided, Professor Xavier is dead, and Wolverine is a schoolteacher. Not willing to waste any of his new life, Nightcrawler heads out on the road searching for adventure and, hopefully, to do some good for mutantkinid along the way. Nightcrawler #1 will hit comic shops shelves in April.
