"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" opened internationally this past weekend, bringing in $75.2 million at the foreign box office, including $10.9 in South Korea, $10.7 million in the United Kingdom, $8.7 million in Mexico, $6.4 million in France, $3.9 million in Italy, $3.8 million in Germany and $3.5 million in Malaysia. With such a strong international opening weekend, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" already seems poised to beat the worldwide box office gross of its predecessor, "Captain America: The First Avenger," which took in over $370.5 million worldwide during its time in theaters. In "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will open in the United States on April 4.
