Despite the fact that the Wall Street Journal reported that the Justice League movie would unlikely be released before 2018, two separate entertainment news sites with a history of being right on superhero movies are now reporting that the Justice League movie will be released in 2017. According to Latino Review, their sources have indicated that the Justice League movie will be released on May 5, 2017. Also, in their coverage of the announcement that Zack Snyder will be directing Justice League, The Hollywood Reporter also noted that while a release date had not been set, "sources say it could bow in 2017." The Hollywood Reporter also backed up claims that Justice League will be shot back-to-back with Batman Vs. Superman. A May 2017 release date for Justice League would certainly make a lot of sense, as Warner Bros. already appears to be aiming to knock Marvel Studios out of their coveted early May release date by scheduling Batman Vs. Superman for a May 6, 2016 release date. Also, with Marvel Studios releasing two films a year, it's unlikely that Warner Bros. wants to wait two years before releasing another DC Comics movie after Batman Vs. Superman. While Warner Bros. could always slip in another solo movie after Batman Vs. Superman, Justice League would seem like the most likely choice if the the back-to-back filming claims are accurate.
