Warner Bros. started the morning right with the release of a brand new Justice League trailer, offering a new look at the team of heroes going up against Steppenwolf and the forces of Apokolips.

The latest Justice League trailer, backed by a moody cover of U2's "Heroes," featured some new footage including shots of an Apokoliptian invasion led by the evil New God, taking on the forces of the Amazons and some humans. Rumors posit that the movie will contain flashbacks to an epic war where the Amazons, Atlanteans, and humankind all unite to stem the wave of Parademons.

In this clip we get a good glimpse of those forces uniting, as well as a creepy shot of a person transforming into what looks like a Parademon.

Steppenwolf also has some epic action scenes in the film, taking on a group of warriors riding horseback and going head-to-head against Wonder Woman in a standoff. It also appears that he takes on Aquaman in Atlantis, slamming him into a column in the underwater city.

Though Darkseid looms large in the previews thus far, Steppenwolf will be a major and formidable threat for the fledgling league. Without the deterrent of Superman to protect the city, it seems like the forces of Apokolips consider earth ripe for plundering as they hope to retrieve three Mother Boxes from different factions.

We've learned from previous discussions with original director Zack Snyder that the Amazons, the Atlanteans, and humankind all have a Mother Box each, split up in different areas on the planet.

But now that there are no Kryptonians and no Green Lanterns to protect the planet, the Apokolips will reign down chaos.

Will we learn what happened to the Lanterns and if Superman will return in the movie? We'll find out when Justice League premieres in theaters on November 17.
