Destiny 2 players who are trying to level up and get their raids done on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 are still being held back by frequent crashes.

The interruption in gameplay is one that’s not gone unnoticed by Bungie, but that doesn’t make the fact that it’s happening any easier to deal with. Destiny 2’s developers are aware of the issues that are abruptly halting PS4 gameplay, but players are still awaiting a fix that’ll hopefully let them continue their gaming crash-free. It appears that there are certain triggers that cause the crashes more frequently, but some of the causes are hardly avoidable when trying to navigate the world of Destiny 2.
User-reported Issues

Among the PlayStation 4 owners, both those who have the standard and Pro version, the reports of frequent crashes aren’t exactly hard to come by. Just within the past several days, several posts have been made from users asking for help.
“Today I had many disconnects (pony) and then an issue where I could not get past a black screen in the tower,” one user on the Destiny 2 subreddit claimed. “My inventory screen was completely empty and when I scrolled to the settings page (also empty) I tried to log out and it froze entirely. Even the PlayStation ‘close application’ took a while, which of course ended in a crash anyway.”
Others backed up the poster’s statements and said that they’ve experienced plenty of issues as well. One user posted eight different links, each of them separate threads to PS4 users commenting on the frequent crashes.
Those on the Destiny 2 forums also expressed similar findings and asked if there was a solution to the issues.
Bungie’s Response

Bungie has responded previously to the issues at hand, but unfortunately, there isn’t much of a solution being put forward just yet.
During their most recent update on changes moving forward and issues that they’re looking into, Bungie took note of the PS4 crashes. It only mentioned the PS4 in general, though some users have commented that the Pro version has more troubles than the standard.
“We are continuing to work with our platform partners at Sony to address an issue where players encounter PlayStation Error CE-34878-0 when attempting to visit the Tower, or during general gameplay. Stay tuned toย @BungieHelpย andย @AskPlayStationย for updates,” the update from Bungie read.
