Power Rangers gave several nods to the classic series, including the Mighty Morphin era. It turns out one of those might have surfaced in the movie's opening sequence.

JLSProblemDog managed to spot a possible Lord Zedd Easter egg early in the film. As Red Ranger Zordon is crawling towards the screen in the midst of a war zone, a large ship flys overhead. He caught a screenshot of the ship, and from that angle, it looks very similar to Lord Zedd's Zord Serpentera.
Could the battle the Rangers fought in against Rita (in her Green Ranger form) be against the forces of Lord Zedd? It's certainly a possibility, and the director has said Zedd is a natural choice for the sequel.
As for Serpentera, the gargantuan
