There have been rumors of late that Austin St. John and Jason David Frank aren’t getting along too well these days, and Frank decided to address those head on.

In an interview with The Hashtag Show, Frank was asked about Power Morphicon, which he’ll be attending for the first time since 2010. Frank is hopeful that the show will answer any lingering doubts fans might have about the camaraderie of the original cast.
“I hope everyone will be there meaning the actors. This would be a good chance and a good shot for everyone to kill this rumor stuff about this beef stuff going on online. I highly encourage and tell you right now I would love to do a panel with the originals, including Amy I don’t know if she’s available. We have no issues. I haven’t talked to Austin all that much except for the movie premiere, but that’s all old stuff, just stupid stuff, and right now with the internet it’s like “hey what’s the beef, what’s going on?” There’s no beef. Now’s the time for everyone to just get together and get along.”
Frank also said it was rumors like this that led to an attempted shooting at Phoenix Comic-Con.
“It’s spiraling out of control and it is putting people’s lives in danger including mine at Phoenix Comic Con because of all this underground stuff. I had a fan that possibly knew the guy that the whole underground beef was he’s believing Austin’s side of the story. There’s no other, there’s no Austin side of the story.”
“It’s fans that choose to take those sides” Frank continued, “and it’s fans that choose to take my side. So, in reality, you’re going back to what, what gangs used to be? What Tupac and Biggie used to be? Now you have the Comic-Con world where people are like “we don’t like the Green Ranger, we like the Red Ranger. We don’t like this, we don’t like that, so I have an idea, let’s just go kill these people.” It’s becoming dangerous.”
Hopefully, there won’t be any drama at Power Morphicon, and fans can just see their favorite Power Rangers all up on stage together once again. At the end of the day, that’s all anyone really wants, including the Rangers themselves.
You can find the description for the current season of Power Rangers Ninja Steel below, which is expected to return with new episodes later this year.
