TNT has acquired the commercial TV rights to Marvel Studios' next five movies, beginning with Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The announcement, made Wednesday, came just days after it was revealed that TNT is developing a Titans TV series based on Marv Wolfman and George Perez's The New Teen Titans and featuring Nightwing as its lead character.

The films, which also include Captain America 3, will come to TNT two years after their theatrical releases. The move brings the Disney-produced films to Time Warner-owned channels rather than the FX-owned Fox, where they've resided since 2008. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Marvel's brand of entertainment is a thrill ride for audiences, and we're excited to be adding their next five blockbusters to TNT's arsenal of high-quality genre fare," said Deborah Bradley, senior VP, head of program acquisitions, content strategy and licensing for Turner Broadcasting System. "These movies will play a key role in TNT's long-term success, especially among key adult demos."
