In the United States, Guardians of the Galaxy has been the highest grossing movie of the year so far. With a domestic box office take of $323.3 million, Guardians of the Galaxy has made over $63 million more than the second highest grossing movie of the year.

When taking the international box office into consideration, Guardians of the Galaxy is the seventh highest grossing movie of the year. However, Guardians of the Galaxy has not opened in all countries yet. Worldwide box-office leader Transformers: Age of Extinction actually made a large part of its total box office take in China, where it grossed more than it did in the U.S.

Guardians of the Galaxy is opening in China on Friday. In celebration of the opening, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn tweeted out a translation of what Guardians of the Galaxy is being called in China. The name for Guardians of the Galaxy in China is Interplanetary Unusual Attacking Team.

Of course, the Chinese will likely wind up calling the film the same thing that fans called it in the U.S., which is “awesome!”
