Box office estimates from Disney indicate that not only did Big Hero 6 manage to win the weekend, but on Tuesday, the film generated $10,508,182 while kids were home from school for the Veterans Day holiday in the U.S.

That brings the film's total haul to around $72 million -- nearly half of its budget. Rumblings have already started about a sequel for the film, which is based loosely on a Marvel Comics property of the same name.

The film's cast includes Ryan Potter (Supah Ninjas) as Hiro Hamada, Scott Adsit (30 Rock) as Baymax, T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley) as Fred, Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) as Go Go Tomago, Damon Wayans (Happy Endings) as Waabi, and Genesis Rodriguez (Identity Thief) as Honey Lemon. Also included in the cast are Alan Tudyk (Firefly) as Alistair Krei, Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids) as Aunt Cass, James Cromwell (The Green Mile) as Professor Callaghan, and Daniel Henney (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Tadashi Hamada.
