Arrow has hit its highest ratings ever in the key 18-49 year-old demographic, making "The Brave and the Bold" the series' second-most watched episode since the series premiere.

As TV By The Numbers reports, Arrow's record breaking number last night was 1.4. That's a massive leap from its ratings last week, which was 0.9 for viewers in the 18-49 bracket. The ratings spike is most likely due to the series' crossover with The Flash, which The CW heavily campaigned and promoted. In the episode, The Flash's Grant Gustin, Carlos Valdes (Cisco) and Danielle Panabaker (Snow) guest-starred for a team-up against Flash rogue Captain Boomerang.

As far as total viewers, "The Brave and the Bold" episode drew 3.9 million viewers, which was second only to the 4 million viewers that watched the original series premiere.

The crossover, which began on Tuesday with The Flash episode "Flash Vs. Arrow," also boosted the Flash's ratings, where it scored a 1.5 rating for 18-49 year-olds.

Arrow returns next Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. for its midseason finale, "The Climb," on The CW.
