Attack On Titan

Dead Panic Studios, a concept and design house from San Antonio, TX, sent Comicbook.com some concept art and sculpts that they used to help in the design of the Attack on Titan: The Real attraction for Universal Studios Japan. We've included the concept art in a gallery below, along with some quotes from the Dead Panic Studios team on how excited they were to work on the project. UPDATE: Concept art removed by request.

Ron McLeroy, Owner of Dead Panic Studios: "Soon as we were told what it was we were creating all this art for, we were beyond excited! To have sculpted a character (Eren) so beloved by all these fans is a true honor and we are extremely grateful to the entire Universal Studios Japan team."

Jeff Paulsrud, Co-Owner of Dead Panic Studios: "Trying to figure out how two dimensional anime characters would look as real, three dimensional people was definitely a challenge that made this project so fun and rewarding."

Jerry Perkins, Lead Modeler of Dead Panic Studios: "The maneuvering gear was especially challenging. The amount of depth and complexity to the connections was a learning experience throughout. Every hose served a purpose and every connection had to be in a specific place. By the end of the project I was convinced I would be able to wear the gear."

Pablo Hurtado, Lead Technical Director of Dead Panic Studios: "Due to the high expectations of the client, we had to push ourselves to meet a very specific look. Even though there were a lot of late nights, seeing all the great work the entire team created come together in V-Ray was very rewarding."

Eric Askue, 3D Character artist: "This is what it is all about, when you look back at the long hours and the effort applied to the work: the wonderful and talented people on a high profile project, and the highs and lows of it all. This really is so rewarding, and an amazing journey that we all got to share."

Currently Dead Panic Studios is working with Robot Entertainment on Orcs Must Die: Unchained and with Firaxis Games on Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth and producing a feature film titled Restraint.
