Game Of Thrones Season 5 Trailer Debuts

The trailer for Game of Thrones Season 5 has been released online, after premiering at the Game of Thrones IMAX theater showings.

Game of Thrones Season 5 will largely be based on A Dance with Dragon, the fifth book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series of bestselling fantasy novels. Following the game-changing events of Season 4, Season 5 sees the balance of power shift drastically, as Cersei Lannister rules in her son, King Tommen's, stead, and the Night's Watch enters and uneasy alliance with Stannis Baratheon.

The season will also travel to the kingdom of Dorne. After what happened to Oberyn Martell, House Martell is expected to play a major role in the coming season. Meanwhile, the fate of Tyrion Lannister, who escaped King's Landing by sea, remains unknown.

Game of Thrones Season 5 premieres April 12 on HBO.
