Super Bowl

While the New England Patriots walked away with the Vince Lombardi trophy last night, they were anything but the winners of this year's Super Bowl. No, the real champions were the trailers, commercials, and actors who kept America thoroughly entertained when cameras weren't on the field. Sure, these MVPs may not have the athletic prowess of Tom Brady or Russell Wilson, but they made for a winning night that any pop culture fan could celebrate.

Below, we run through our winners from last night's big game.

Chris Pratt and Chris Evans

Marvel Studios' Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Chris Evans (Captain America) held an east vs. west match-up on Twitter that made the actual Super Bowl feel as exciting as a chess match. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's golden boys made a bet that if their team (Pratt was for Seattle, Evans was for New England) won, then the other would have to visit the winning team's home city dressed as their Marvel character. But the battle of the Chris' wasn't just viral. As ComicBook.com reported, the two surprised fans by watching the game together at the University of Phoenix Stadium and then tweeting images of their hangout. If we didn't want a Star-Lord and Cap collaboration in Avengers: Infinity War already, it's a done deal now.

Liam Neeson

The star of the Taken franchise delivered one of the Super Bowl's best commercials, channeling his inner Bryan Mills not towards a kidnapper or crime lord, but a fellow Clash of Clans player who was foolish enough to steal his gold. The hilarious commercial for the mobile game became one of the most-discussed of the night, showing that Neeson is more than comfortable with his new role as Hollywood's go-to actor for every grizzled manhunter/survivalist role.

Bryan Cranston

Neeson wasn't the only actor to cash in on one of his larger-than-life roles. Bryan Cranston resurrected his Breaking Bad character, Walter White, for one last tango with drug dealing—or, in this case, pharmaceuticals. In the advertisement for Esurance, Cranston comfortably slipped back into his Heisenberg persona, speaking in his trademark gravely voice and even uttering his most iconic line, "Say My Name." If doing so results in more Breaking Bad themed commercials, there's no doubt the world would sing it all day long.

Jurassic World

Easily one of the best trailers of the night, Jurassic World's latest tease gave fans everything they wanted to see in a Super Bowl spot: More plot details, action-filled shots, and enough teases to further whet their appetites for June premiere. In the trailer, viewers stole a few more glances at the Indominus Rex, learned that the elusive dinosaur is going to be sadistic and evil, and saw Chris Pratt partner with dinosaurs. Forget talking Raccoons, this is animal team-up that will define Chris Pratt's career.

Furious 7

America is probably still trying to come down from the adrenaline rush that Furious 7's Super Bowl trailer delivered last night. The one-minute spot pulled no punches, showcasing one over-the-top scene after the next. The Rock brandished a two-ton machine gun. The crew parachuted out of plane—in their cars. Vin Diesel drove out of a skyscraper and landed into another. Honestly, there's nothing that this franchise won't try. If the Super Bowl trailer was only a tease for what Furious 7 will hold, we wouldn't be surprised if the full film induced heart attacks on opening night.
