Billy Dee Williams Making Lando Calrissian Cameo In Star Wars: Episode VIII?

Billy Dee Williams, 77, will make a brief cameo as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode VIII, according to the British tabloid The Sun.

We won't see Williams in J.J. Abrams' upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but a source for The Sun says he will appear in the second film in the new trilogy, which will be directed byRian Johnson ("Looper"). "It will be a fun cameo. Billy's definitely up for it," an insider told The Sun.

I find it interesting that Lando would appear in the second film and not the first. Why? Because it seems like some more symmetrical storytelling is being used in the trilogy like it was in the original. So to have Lando appear in the second film is like him appearing in Empire Strikes Back.
