Machete Kills Again... In Space To Begin Filming This Year

Danny Trejo has starred in Robert Rodriguez's low-budget action-comedy films Machete (2010) and Machete Kills (2013). The two are working together once again on a third feature film in the series, Machete Kills Again... In Space.

"Robert and I are going to start to do Machete Kills in Space, so that's going to be awesome," Danny Trejo told Halloween Daily News. "We're going to be working on it this year."

A fake trailer for Machete Kills Again... In Space preceded Machete Kills and it featured Trejo wielding a machete that lights up like a lightsaber. Some had thought it wouldn't get made because Machete Kills underperformed at the box office. It only cost $20M to make, but it only grossed $15M at the box office.
