In an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday night, Robert Downey Jr talked briefly about the upcoming movie Captain America: Civil War.

"Well, it's called Civil War," said Downey Jr. "And there was a strain of comics where Captain America and Iron Man, they went on different sides, and they fought each other."

When Letterman referred to them as evil enemies, Downey Jr. corrected, "I wouldn't call either of them evil."

When Letterman asked who wins and if he had done the movie yet, Downey Jr. replied, "No, I'm going to go start shooting that one in a couple weeks. Well, it's called Captain America: Civil War."

When Letterman asked if Spider-Man was in there as well, Downey Jr. teased, "He may well be. Yeah, I hear that they're looking to cast a new Spider-Man."

When Letterman asked if fans should root for Iron Man, Captain America, or Spider-Man, Downey Jr. joked, "That's up to the people." Then, he smiled and pointed to himself.

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
