Spoilers ahead for recent issues of Savage Dragon.

Erik Larsen has revealed the cover for Savage Dragon #209...and it's a doozy.

After two consecutive issues in which we learned that Malcolm Dragon may have impregnated his girlfriend and his ex-girlfriend, the latest cover unveiled by Larsen reveals that Malcolm will apparently be getting married soon...even if he doesn't necessarily look like this is the happiest day of his life.

Maxine, his current girlfriend and the person with whom we saw him in Free Comic Book Day's Savage Dragon Legacy, appears on the cover with him in her wedding whites, Malcolm dressed in a tux while Maxine's family look on disapprovingly and Malcolm's longtime friend/surrogate sister Angel hides her face in her hand.

There are a lot of things to consider on this cover:

Angel and Frank, Jr.

We see Angel Dragon and Frank Darling, Jr., seemingly attending the wedding together. They've been dipping their toes in the waters of seeing each other again maybe, but haven't been a serious couple since each of them cheated on the other during the Invasion storyline a couple of years back.

Notable absences

She may have become impregnated during an encounter with Malcolm, but we don't see Tierra anywhere here. Hard to know, then, whether she took Malcolm's advice about aborting her child in order to save her own life or not.

Dragon is also, unsurprisingly, nowhere to be seen. Guess he's not getting out of jail in this calendar year.

Notable presences

Aside from Frank, Jr., you've got Thunder-Head sneaking around back there, and seemingly standing/walking under his own power. Thunder-Head is Malcolm's half-brother, who was briefly a supervillain and more recently a kind of hard-luck hero who got himself seriously injured while helping out Malcolm.

Savage Dragon #204 is on sale tomorrow at your comic shop, ImageComics.com and comiXology.
