Fox has revealed plans to released official Duff Beer, based on popular brew from The Simpsons, the Wall Street Journal reports. Fox will first introduce the beer in Chile, and plans to bring it to the rest of South America and Europe by next year.

Fox has been consulting with brewmasters on how to flavor the beer. The packaging will be an exact replica of how the beer appears in the cartoon, but will feature no other obvious connection to the series. In other words, if you don't already know The Simpsons, you'd never know Duff Beer was a licensed product.

Duff will not be available in the United States, outside of select sections of certain theme parks, but that may change in the future.

"I think there's potential to have Duff everywhere in the world," said Jeffrey Godsick, president of the Fox's consumer products division.

Fox chose Chile to be the first market they introduce official Duff Beer into because of the popularity of an unofficial version of the beer.
