While Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t ruled out a return to the X-Men franchise after Apocalypse, she told EW there’s one main reason she wouldn’t.

“It’s just the paint,” the actress said. For large sections of these films, Lawrence is covered from head to toe in layers of blue body paint, makeup, and prosthetics. When she started with X-Men: First Class, she “didn’t care about fumes and toxins,” but five years later, she finds herself thinking, “I can’t even pronounce this and that’s going in my nose? I’m breathing that?”

Like Yahoo before, however, she told EW that she really hasn’t made a decision yet. “There is hope. I don’t want to not be asked.”

Jennifer Lawrence plays the shapeshifting mutant Mystique for the third time in X-Men: Apocalypse, debuting May 27, 2016.
