Warner Bros. announced a partnership with LeBron James (Trainwreck) today that'll cover TV, film and original digital content projects. Though, it also might be an indication that Warner Bros. is developing Space Jam 2 for the NBA superstar!

Alex Werpin pointed out that Warner Brothers filed a new Space Jam trademark last month and now we get an announcement that LeBron is partnering with the studio. Coincidence? I think NOT!

"LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment," Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara said. "The combination of LeBron's global media presence and Warner Bros.' unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere."

1996's Space Jam featured Michael Jordan and fellow NBA stars: Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson and Shawn Bradley. In the film, Jordan joined forces with Looney Tunes stars Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, Porky Pig and newcomer Lola Bunny to take on an alien race in a basketball game that decided the fate of the world.
