While Hawkman will fly high in the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow, he may first spread his wings on the CW's other DC Entertainment series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Carter Hall—a.k.a. Hawkman—could first appear on The Flash and Arrow before debuting Legends. What's more, The CW's take on the character's origins will reportedly stay extremely faithful to comic book lore. In the comics, Hawkman is a 5,000 year-old man who, despite being reincarnated throughout the centuries, can remember every past life. And while his female counterpart, Hawkgirl, has gone through the merry-go-round of life just as frequently as Carter, she will not remember any of their past lives together.

But one surprising detail, as Entertainment Weekly reported, is that CW's Hawkman will be "charismatic and wise beyond his years," as well as a "natural-born leader with an abundance of charm and confidence." Hawkman is usually portrayed as a short-tempered man's man (you don't fly around bare chested and not own it), so to hear that he'll be a regular prince charming may ruffle a few feathers. But hey, as long as he picks a fight with Oliver Queen, most comic book purists should be happy.

Legends of Tomorrow is expected to premiere halfway through the CW's 2015/2016 television season, while The Flash and Arrow return this October.
