A box office analyst is projecting that Fantastic Four cold end up losing Fox as much as $60 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Barton Crockett, an analyst at FBR & Co., said that Fantastic Four marks "a negative start to Fox's already cautious forecast for a $200 million year-over-year decline in studio segment profits in fiscal year 2016."

Fox had already warned investors that the movie studio would be less profitable than it was last year. Fantastic Four is the Marvel Comics tentpole replacing last year's massively successful X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Between the failure of Fantastic Four and Weinstein Company pulling their planned release of animated comedy Underdogs, Crockett says there's been a measurable dent in the hide of the summer box office as a whole.
